COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A highly publicized event that was scheduled to take place in downtown Coldwater this weekend was called off less than 24 hours before it was scheduled to take place.
Hoptober Fest was scheduled for the first time on Saturday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on South Monroe Street between U.S. 12 and Pearl Street.
But it was suddenly called off Friday evening due to what organizers said in a Facebook post were “unforeseen circumstances”.
They are hoping to reschedule the event for sometime later this month.
Hoptober Fest was supposed to have featured traditional German food, craft beer and music.
It was going to be the grand finale for the popular weekly event Hops on Monroe which was held on Thursday nights in August and September.
