HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is co-sponsoring a pop-up Community Testing event for COVID-19 between 2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6th at the Hillsdale County Fairgrounds.
Health Officer Rebecca Burns says the drive-thru testing will be conducted in the Expo Center and is free for Michigan residents, including minors with a parent.
Those attending are asked to enter and exit from South Street only.
Testing will be available to Michigan residents (with or without symptoms) on a first come, first served basis.
Organizers are asking those planning to get tested to bring their ID. The State of Michigan is covering the cost of testing at this event. Insurance is not required and no insurance cards will be requested.
Nasopharyngeal tests will be administered to determine whether persons currently have COVID-19. Antibody testing will NOT be done at this event.
This event is supported by the Michigan National Guard, the Michigan State Police, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency.
