COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys varsity soccer team fell at home Tuesday night to Interstate 8 Conference rival Marshall 3-0.
The Redhawks took a 2-0 halftime lead one goals from Josh Pugh at the 14:47 and 4:45 marks of the first half. Pugh finished off the scoring for the Redhawks with a penalty kick goal with 9:51 to play in the game.
Michael Orozco-Aburto made two saves in goal as the Cardinals fell to 1-3 in the conference and 2-5 overall. They will travel to Parma Western Thursday to continue Interstate 8 Conference play.
The Coldwater junior varsity team shutout Marshall Tuesday 4-0. The Cardinals got goals from Ammar Abdullah, Arif Ahmed, Austin Atkins, and Ryadh Muflihi.
