COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Legg Middle School 7th grade girls volleyball A team defeated Jackson Northwest 25-16 25-20 15-6 Tuesday night to improve thier record to 5-0 on the season.
Rylie Van Aken was 7-10 with 2 aces, 10 digs & 2 kills to lead Coldwater followed by Coley Burkhardt with 8 digs & 1 kill, Maddie Moore 11-12 with 3 aces & 4 digs, Haley McFarland 8-10 with 3 aces & 5 digs, Braylinn Austin 5-8 wit 3 aces & 1 dig, Mya Porter 4-4 & 1 ace & 3 digs & 1 kill, Marin Debeau 4-7 with 2 aces & 3 digs, Kendra Bassett 3 digs & Olivia Golematis 2 digs & 1 kill & Ciarra Paul 5-8 with 3 aces & 3 digs.
The 7th grade B team lost to Jackson Northwest 25-20, 16-25, 13-15.
Leading in serving was Carly Krzyzanski going 9/12 with 2 aces, Bailey Kasperski 7/8 with 3 aces, Ava Gilchrist 6/7 with 3aces, Gracie Heath 4/5 with 1 ace, Madison Stumpf 3/6 and Maranda Walinski 2/3.
The Legg 8th grade girls volleyball B team came up short against Northwest 21-25, 18-25. Harper Cummings was strong on the serving line with 5 points 4 aces, Lily Roscoe 4 points, Norah VanWagoner 3 points, Lexi Scott 3 points and Virginia Rodriguez 2 points. Zoie Wohlgamuth with one dig and one kill. The team will travel to Marshall on Tuesday.
