BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson City Council will be asked Monday night to approve a change in the city’s polling location for the November 3 General Election due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
City Manager Brandon Mersman says the staff is recommending a temporary relocation to the Bronson Fire Department.
He says the move to the Fire Station will provide much needed room to allow for social distancing on Election Day for residents and election workers.
This change would only be for the November 3 election. Voters will enter the front of the building on Matteson Street and exit the rear of the building to prevent crowding near the entrance/exit.
If approved by the City Council, post cards will be mailed to all registered voters in the City of Bronson advising them of the change as required for polling location changes.
Monday’s in person meeting starts at 5:00 p.m. in the Farmer’s Market Pavilion. In case of inclement weather, it will be moved to the Bronson Community Theater.
