DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – The Detroit Red Wings have signed center Vladislav Namestnikov to a two-year contract, reportedly for $4 million.
Namestnikov split last season with the New York Rangers, Washington Senators, and Colorado Avalanche, logging 17 goals and 14 assists in 65 games. He is a 2011 first-round pick.
He is the fifth player Detroit has signed since free agency began Friday. The others are forward Bobby Ryan, defensemen Jon Merrill and Troy Stecher and goaltender Thomas Greiss.
Also, Red Wings’ Tyler Bertuzzi has filed for salary arbitration. He has scored 21 goals in back-to-back seasons.
