COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Due to concerns and recommendations regarding the recent surge of COVID-19 cases, the City of Coldwater announced on Friday that effective at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2020, the City of Coldwater and Board of Public Utilities’ Customer Service desk in the Henry L. Brown Municipal Building will be closed to the public until further notice.
Much like the previous closure during the pandemic, the Customer Service Department will be fully operational during this time and open to calls during office hours.
City officials say the change intends to help protect the employees of the CBPU as well as the general public. The City’s Neighborhood Services Office and Clerk’s Office will remain open during this time.
Residents may still drop off their ballots, early vote, and register to vote in the lobby.
Utility customers will have other options for paying their utility bills without doing so in-person. They can use the drop box in front of City Hall’s Monroe Street entrance, mail it in or sign up for an automated payment plan.
