COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities has received another award.
The City of Coldwater announced on Thursday that the C.B.P.U. has earned an Excellence in Public Power Communications Merit Award from the American Public Power Association.
APPA presented the award during their virtual Customer Connections Conference on Wednesday.
The C.B.P.U. was one of just five public power utility organizations to earn an Excellence in Public Power Communications Award in their category.
They competed in the “Web and Social Media” category of their classification, submitting a write-up on their “Throwback Thursday” campaign which they implemented through the first half of this year.
The campaign highlights were posts of several historic photos of linemen, servicemen, C.B.P.U. trucks and equipment used over the last few decades.
“It’s an honor to receive this award”, said Jodi Shook, Customer Service and Communications Director of the C.B.P.U.. “Our main goal is to be highly visible and to communicate well with our customers here in Coldwater. When we get the attention and recognition from a national organization like the APPA, we see that our work reaches a much bigger footprint.”
