COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Now that the City of Coldwater is accepting license applications for Recreational Marijuana Establishments, a public hearing on the first application which is requesting a Special Land Use Permit is scheduled to take place during the next Coldwater Planning Commission meeting November 16.
According to a public meeting notice published in Friday’s Daily Reporter, Revolution Strains, Incorporated wants to operate an adult use recreational marijuana retail establishment at 734 East Chicago which is in the southeast part of the U.S. 12 and I-69 intersection.
A Special Land Use Permit is needed because the business would be located in an area that is zoned C-4 General Business District.
Coldwater City Planner Dean Walrack says the city has gotten six license applications for recreational marijuana businesses with five of them for retail establishments the other for a processing facility.
The Planning Commission normally meets on the first Monday of the month but the November meeting has been pushed back two weeks because of next Tuesday’s General Election.
