QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – A millage proposal is on Tuesday’s ballot for voters in the Quincy Community School District.
The proposal would allow the school district to levy the statutory rate of not to exceed 18 mills on all property, except principal residence and other property
exempted by law, that is required for the school district to receive its revenue per pupil foundation allowance.
Voters will be asked should the limitation on the amount of taxes be increased by one mill for five years until 2024 to provide funds for operating purposes.
Meanwhile, voters in the Camden-Frontier School District will be asked to approve a proposal that will allow the district to continue to levy building and site sinking fund millage previously approved by the electors. The renewal is not to exceed three mills for six years.
Reading Community School district voters will be asked to approved a sinking fund millage proposal. The levy is not to exceed 1.9 mills for five years.
Voters in the Homer Community School District will be asked to approve a half mill increase for 10 years in order to provide funds for operating purposes.
