BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson School Board voted 5-2 on Monday night to approve a request from the district to have students attend classes for a half day on Fridays.
Superintendent Steve Wilson says the half day of classes on Fridays starting on November 13 will give teachers more time to plan their lessons.
They will also be able to help out on line students who need assistance.
In other business on Monday, the board approved a request from the administration to open negotiations with the Bronson Education Association.
The action was taken after the state budget that was passed in late September showed there would be no cuts for K-12 education.
Monday’s in person meeting was held in the Bronson High School gymnasium due to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines and protocols.
