BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Clerk’s Office reports as of midday there have been long lines at some polling sites throughout the county.
There has been a large turnout at the Coldwater Township Hall where there have been reports of people waiting for over an hour to vote.
Our listeners have been posting information on how long they have waited on our Facebook page. The waits in Kinderhook Township at midday have been between 10 and 20 minutes while a 45 minute wait was reported in Algansee Township and one listener in Ovid Township reported a 50 minute wait.
The lines and waits were expected to get longer as the day progressed.
The large turnout is making parking difficult at some locations. The Village of Quincy had to ask voters on Facebook to refrain from parking in the Speedrack delivery lot because employees and deliveries needed to use it.
