COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Community Schools announced on its web site Thursday that the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency notified them of ten School Associated Cases of COVID-19. A “School Associated Case” is a probable or confirmed case of COVID-19.
Officials say the ten cases included eight at Coldwater High School. The others were at Legg Middle School and in the Transportation Department.
Students and staff who have been identified as close contacts to these School Associated Cases have been informed directly by the Community Health Agency or the school district.
If you have not received communication from the health department or school district, you are not impacted. No further action is required and you do not need to contact the school.
Classes in the district are being held virtually through November 16th. In addition all district buildings will undergo enhanced sanitation protocols as guided by the Health Department and CDC Guidelines in accordance with the district’s Preparedness and Response Plan.
Since October 12, the district has been notified of 24 School Associated Cases.
