COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County 911 Board Chair Keith Baker and told the board on Wednesday that a new 911 Director will not be hired before a service plan agreement is put together.
Jean Ratkowski has been serving as the interim director after Kurt Spalding retired at the end of September.
Branch County Administrator Bud Norman said they wanted to get the plan worked out so that the new director can have guidance.
There were a couple of questions as to when the proposed plan will be ready.
Outgoing Branch County Commission Chair Ted Gordon said he hopes it will be ready before the Commissioners last regular meeting of the year on December 22.
Kevin Kearns from IXP Corporation of Seattle, Washington was hired by the county to review the 911 Dispatch operations and to make recommendations to county officials.
