JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – Consumers Energy is recruiting military veterans with electric experience to join its new Basic Electric Lineworker Apprentice program.
The job pays $35 an hour following 10 days of free training.
Military veterans with documented electrical experience are encouraged to get more information and register for the Electric Lines Boot Camp at www.electriclinesbootcamp.com.
All training will take place at the UWUA Power for America Training Center in Eaton County.
Qualifications for honorably discharged veterans include the ability to carry up to 50 pounds of tools and gear, documented experience working with electricity and the ability to work at heights.
