COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Due to the recent surge of COVID-19 cases, Branch County Administrator Bud Norman has announced that effective on Wednesday, November 18, the County is transitioning back to appointment only services in the County buildings and the Commission On Aging is suspending its small scale programs at the Burnside Center that had just been approved by the Board of Commissioners last month.
After being closed since March, the Burnside Center was reopened for the small activities which followed nearly a dozen COVID-19 safety protocols.
Norman says the 911 Building also remains closed to the public.
The Branch County Courthouse was initially closed to the public on March 17. The public was allowed back in on a limited basis on June 1 but various COVID-19 protocols such as the wearing of masks had to be followed.
Only those who had business in the courthouse were initially allowed inside and after their temperature was taken, they were escorted to the department they had an appointment with.
