GIRARD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The driver of a Jeep Cherokee was injured Monday afternoon after his vehicle struck a milk hauler and wedged itself underneath the hauler on northbound I-69 near the 19 mile marker.
The crash was reported at 3:47 p.m. and northbound traffic had to be detoured away from the accident scene.
The Jeep Cherokee driver was taken to a nearby hospital. The driver of the milk hauler apparently escaped injury.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash. Coldwater firefighters, the Michigan State Police and the Michigan D.N.R. were among those assisting at the scene.
