COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Economic Development Assistant Audrey Tappenden has told local businesses that the State of Michigan is offering a new grant program that can award up to $15,000 to for-profit businesses in targeted industries which have been affected by the current COVID-19 pandemic.
She says funds may be used for: payroll, rent and mortgage payments as well as utilities.
Eligible businesses include;
Restaurants, bars and other food and beverage service providers
Travel and tourism destinations including lodging providers and hospitality businesses
Live event venues and movie theaters
Conference and meeting facilities
Ice skating rinks, indoor water parks and bowling centers
Gyms, fitness centers and indoor recreation facilities
Tappenden says the application for the Pure Michigan Small Business Relief Initiative opens next Tuesday, December 15 and will be awarded on a “first-in” basis.
Businesses are being encouraged to set aside time to apply and submit as early as possible.
