QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Diner has become at least the second Branch County restaurant to offer dine in service even thought it’s not allowed under the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services pause order which is in effect until at least December 20.
Owner John Parney Senior reopened his restaurant on the east side of Quincy for dine in service on Tuesday.
He said they were going back to their original hours Tuesdays through Sundays. The business is closed on Mondays.
Parney said in a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page, “I want to thank everyone who supported us with only being allowed to do take out orders. It’s definitely been a struggle not being able to have dine in.”
The Goodie Shop in Coldwater resumed dine in service on Wednesday morning.
Many Michigan restaurants have decided to resume dine in service as they struggle to stay in business following the state’s orders which were issued in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19.
