COMSTOCK PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The West Michigan Whitecaps will continue to be a Detroit Tigers affiliate.
The club has received the invitation to move up to High-A baseball in 2021 with most of the current Midwest League, including Michigan’s two other teams. The Whitecaps have been affiliated with the Tigers since the late 1990’s after starting out as an affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.
Major League Baseball has restructured its minor league system.
