BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Those who like to play in the snow have not had much of an opportunity so far this winter.
Snowfall totals throughout southwest Michigan are well below normal.
WOOD-TV reports Kalamazoo has gotten just over nine inches of snow which is almost 21 inches below normal. Grand Rapids has only gotten seven-and-a-half inches while Muskegon has gotten just under a foot of snow.
The snowfall totals in Grand Rapids and Muskegon are almost two feet below normal at this stage of winter.
WOOD-TV also says Branch County has gotten just three to six inches of snow. That includes two to three inches that fell last weekend.
The extended forecast is not offering much hope for those looking for the white stuff. Conditions are expected to remain dry at least through the end of next week.
