UNDATED (WTVB) – Two St. Joseph County teams are through to the semifinals of the Michigan High School Athletic Association Football Playoffs as the Tournament resumed Saturday following a two month pause on high school athletics in Michigan due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Centreville shut out Sand Creek 8-0 in a Division 8 regional title game. The 9-0 Bulldogs will face 10-0 Clarkston Everest Collegiate in the state semifinals on Friday night at the Legacy Center in Brighton..
Meanwhile, Constantine advanced to the Division 6 semifinals with a 33-14 win over Michigan Center. The Falcons will play at Clinton next weekend for the right to advance to the state finals at Ford Field. Both teams are 9-1.
Jackson Lumen Christi was eliminated in the Division 7 regional finals as they lost to Schoolcraft 29-22. Lumen Christi finished 5-5. It’s the first time since 1988 the Titans have not had a winning record.
