COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Pansophia Academy in Coldwater is conducting a shoe drive fundraiser through February 28 to raise funds for student support.
The fundraiser is a joint effort with the school’s Parent Teacher Organization and Youth Advisory Board and will earn funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used, and new shoes collected.
This event is hosted by Funds2Orgs. Those dollars will benefit student and educator development programs for the 400 students that attend Pansophia.
The shoes can be donated at Pansophia Academy or by contacting a PTO member for pickup.
All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of micro-enterprise partners.
“We are excited about our shoe drive,” said Diane Epps, PTO President “We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like to donate to us. By doing so, we raise money for many projects supporting our school that otherwise will go un-funded, and we have the chance to help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities. It’s a win-win project for everyone.”
