DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Tigers and starting pitcher Michael Fulmer have agreed to a one-year contract to avoid arbitration. The deal is reportedly worth $3.1 million.
Fulmer had Tommy John surgery in 2019 and posted an 8.78 ERA last season.
The Tigers have the coaches for their minor league teams in place for the 2021 season. Tom Prince will be back as manager of Triple-A Toledo along with hitting coach Mike Hessman. Former Detroit pitcher Doug Bochtler joins the Mud Hens as pitching coach.
Double-A Erie retains Arnie Beyeler as manager. Former Tigers catcher Brayan Pena returns as manager of High-A West Michigan. Low-A Lakeland will keep Andrew Graham as manager.
