DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – The eight championship games in the M.H.S.A.A. 11-person football tournament are now set for Ford Field in Detroit.
The undefeated Centreville Bulldogs will play in their first title game ever when they battle Ubly on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Division Eight finals. Centreville is 10-0 while Ubly is 9-2.
St. Joseph County’s hopes of getting two teams to the finals were dashed on Saturday when Constantine lost to Clinton 40-6 in the Division Six semifinals.
In the other finals on Friday:
D2: Muskegon Mona Shores (11-0) vs Warren DeLaSalle (7-4) – 1 pm
D6: Montague (11-0 vs Clinton (10-1) – 4:30 pm
D4: Cadillac (8-2) vs Detroit Country Day (8-2) – 7:30 pm
In the finals on Saturday:
D7: New Lothrop (10-0) vs Traverse City St. Francis (9-2) – 10 am
D1: Davison (11-0) vs West Bloomfield (10-1) – 1 pm
D5: Grand Rapids CC (10-0) vs Frankenmuth (11-0) – 4:30 pm
D3: DeWitt (11-0) vs River Rouge (9-1) – 7:30 pm
The Eight Person Football state champions were crowned on Saturday at the Legacy Sports Center in Brighton. Adrian Lenawee Christian won the Division One title over Suttons Bay 47-0 while Powers North Central took the Division Two championship back to the Upper Peninsula with a wild 70-48 win over Portland St. Patrick.
