LAKE ORION, MI (WTVB) – As the history books close on the longest swim season in Coldwater High School history, the Coldwater Girls Varsity Swim and Dive Team sent three Lady Cards to the M.H.S.A.A. Division Three state finals in Lake Orion on Friday and Saturday.
Mia Rzepka and Charlotte Calhoun started off the weekend with diving on Friday night. Calhoun made it to the state meet as a freshman and finished 23rd.
Rzepka made it to the state finals for the first time as a senior and finished on the podium in 16th place.
Jillian McKinley then swam on Saturday earning All-State honors by finishing sixth in the 50 freestyle and 20th in the 100 Butterfly.
Both Rzepka and McKinley ended the swimming and diving season with the highest finishes at the state meet for both girls or boys in school history.
