OVID TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Firefighters from three departments had to battle a two story structure fire on the north side of Coldwater Lake Tuesday afternoon.
The blaze at 552 Warren Road was reported at 1:48 p.m.. Lakeland firefighters were initially dispatched before crews from Fremont, Indiana and Coldwater were called in for assistance.
First reports from the scene indicated the fire started in a wood stove and that flames and smoke were visible.
It was also first reported that everyone inside managed to get out of the structure safely. There was a report that one person suffered a lacerated hand.
A Life Care Ambulance crew was also dispatched along with the Branch County Sheriff’s Department.
The fire was called under control at 2:14 p.m..
