LANSING, MI (WTVB) – 58th District Republican State Representative Andrew Fink was appointed on Thursday by House Speaker Jason Wentworth to serve as vice chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military and Veterans Affairs and State Police.
The freshman state legislator was also appointed to the House Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Insurance and Financial Services and General Government Appropriations subcommittees as well as the House Health Policy Committee.
Fink served as a U.S. Marine both on active duty and in the reserve.
He said in a statement released by his office that he is honored to accept the position and looks forward to serving the state in this capacity.
“Our active service men and women and veterans deserve the utmost respect and appreciation from the State of Michigan,” Fink said. “I am pleased to have this opportunity to advocate for their interests within our state budget, as well as those of our dedicated Michigan State Police who help ensure our safety every day.”
