DETROIT, MI (WTVB) – The longest high school football season ever in the State of Michigan concluded in the dead of Winter on Saturday as four more state champions were crowned at Ford Field.

Centreville brought the Division Eight championship back to St. Joseph County on Friday when they defeated Ubly 22-0. The other winners on Friday were Muskegon Mona Shores in Division Two, Montague in Division Six and Detroit Country Day in Division Four.
The season started three weeks late due to COVID-19 concerns. The state tournament will held up in November for two months due to the pause in high school athletics which was issued by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services due to a surge in COVID-19 cases. The tournament did not resume until the second weekend of January.
