BRIDGMAN, MI (WTVB) – Tuesday night did not go as planned for Coldwater boys swim team. They were scheduled to start their season with a triangular meet with St. Joseph at Bridgman but the meet was called off Tuesday afternoon due to apparent COVID-19 issues at the host school.
Coldwater Athletic Director Todd Farmer says Bridgman school officials have been doing contact tracing for many of their high school students and they will start remote learning on Wednesday.
Because of that, they did not want to bring outside students into their facilities at this time so the swim meet was called off. Coldwater, St. Joseph and Bridgman officials hope to reschedule the meet for a later date.
