COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater swept Hastings on Thursday afternoon in their first home meet of the season at Midway Lanes by scores of 24-6 in the Boys match and 29-1 in the Girls match. Seniors Kai Kinsey and Dayten Yearling led the way for the Coldwater boys with Kinsey rolling a 214 game and a 388 two game series, Yearling rolled games of 180 and 191 for a 371 set.
The boys took game one 845-843 and game two 775-730, to take totals 1620-1573.. They kept it up in Baker, winning both games, 192-168 and 153-152 to take totals 345-320. The boys are now 2 and 0 on the season.
The Coldwater girls were led by Senior Rilee Cooper-Lewis with a high game of 226 and a two game series of 391 and Violet Waltke with a 208 game.
The Girls won both games 895-640 and 750-697, winning totals 1645-1337. The girls took both Baker games 136-130 and 149-126, taking totals 285–256. The girls are now 2-0 on the season.
Hastings did not field a JV team so the Coldwater JV’s bowled each other.
Coldwater will host Marshall next Tuesday at Midway Lanes.
