BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Branch County, along with St. Joseph, Hillsdale, Calhoun, and Steuben Counties, will be under a Winter Weather Advisory beginning tonight at 7 p.m. and lasting through 7 p.m. Sunday night.
Counties along and south of the Michigan/Indiana border had been under a Winter Storm Watch, but that has been downgraded to an Advisory. Still, between 4-7 inches of snow are expected in an area between I-94 and US-30.
Areas along and north of I-94 can anticipate 2-4 inches of snow.
Counties along and south of US-30 in Indiana and Ohio, meanwhile, will be under a Winter Storm Warning tonight and tomorrow, with 5-9 inches of heavy snow expected.
Forecasters say the snow will move in quickly Saturday night from southwest to northeast. The snow is expected to arrive in Branch County at around 10 p.m. The snow may be heavy at times after midnight.
The snow is expected to taper off Sunday morning with lingering snow showers throughout Sunday.
