COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Old Man Winter was late getting here this season and now he’s making up for lost time.
Branch County is included in a Winter Weather Advisory that is in effect from 4:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon until 10:00 a.m. Friday morning.
National Weather Service forecasters say snow and blowing snow is expected with total snow accumulations of two to four inches. Winds are expected to gust as high as 35 mph.
You can plan on slippery road conditions with areas of blowing snow that could significantly reduce visibility.
Thursday’s temperatures will be the last time they will be above freezing into at least early next week.
Bitterly cold air will move in this weekend. This cold air combined with wind gusts in the 10 to 20 mph range will result in subzero wind chills for much of the weekend into early next week.
