COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Both of the Coldwater bowling teams defeated Pennfield on Thursday afternoon at Midway Lanes.
Coldwater won the girls match 27-3 with Seniors Rilee Cooper Lewis and Annabell Kling leading the way. Cooper-Lewis had a 200 and Kling shot a 178. The girls won both regular games, 757-662 and 720-666, taking totals 1477-1328. They also swept the Baker game 143-132 and 136-133 for totals of 279-265.
Coldwater also won the boys match 18-12. The Cardinals had a solid night from all five starters, led by Chase Rubley with a 194 game and Chance Cook with a 190. Coldwater won both regular games 850-739 and 884-869, taking totals 1734-1608. The boys dropped both Baker games 188-177 and 191-163, losing totals 379-340.
The JV squad bowled with a split squad. Game 1 the Coldwater girls JV bowled the Pennfield boys JV, winning the game 654-476. Alexis Wood led the girls with a 163 game. The Coldwater boys JV dropped game two 623-603. The boys were led by Isaac Jones 144, and Christian Clark with a 142. Coldwater took totals 1257-1099. Splitting the baker game the girls losing 142-133, the boys won 147-118 to take the win 19-11.
Meanwhile, the Bronson bowling teams split with Niles on Wednesday. The Bronson girls won 23-7 while the boys lost 19-11.
