BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school basketball, Coldwater dropped a tough game at Marshall on Tuesday night as they were unable to overcome a 17-6 Redhawk second quarter in losing 43-37. The Cardinals trailed by 14 at the break but outscored Marshall in the second half 25-17.
Abby Herman led Coldwater with 10 points, Jayla Foster added eight points and Anna DeMeester had six points. Coldwater drops to 1-2 in league play and 1-3 overall.
Marshall swept the underclassmen games. They won the JV game 24-20. Cara Miller led Coldwater seven points while Jaelah Sloan had six points and six rebounds. In the freshman game, Coldwater was led by Hannah Stevens and Jalelah Sloan with four points each.
Hayley Wilson’s foul shot with no time left on the clock gave the Bronson Vikings a 46-45 home court win over Concord. The Vikings are now 3-1 overall and 3-0 in the Big 8 Conference.
Quincy’s game at Jonesville was postponed until March 13 while Union City’s home game with Reading was postponed until Saturday night.
