COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Community School Superintendent Terry Ann Whelan sent out a robocall to district parents on Thursday night after what was described as a situation was reported in the area of East Washington and Elm Street near a bus stop.
Whelan said Coldwater Police have been notified and are investigating the situation. She did not go into details as to what exactly happened.
She asked parents to talk with their children and remind them not to talk to strangers. In addition, they should discuss with them what safety measures they can take if someone approaches them.
Whelan says police will continue to watch the area but they don’t think the person involved was still there.
She is requesting everybody in the community keep students safe by calling 911 if you see anybody acting in a suspicious manner.
