EMMETT TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – After Tuesday’s disappointing loss to Pennfield, the Coldwater Cardinals got back on the right track Thursday night with a 65-48 victory at Harper Creek.
Three Cardinals finished in double figures led by Brandon Downs who had a game-high 18 points. Spencer Rodesiler had 11 points while Lu LeBron had 10 points. Ethan Crabtree had a big night on the glass as he grabbed 11 rebounds. He and Downs both had three assists. Rodesiler, Downs and Evan Sloan all had steals. Sloan also blocked four shots.
With the win, Coldwater improved to 6-1.

Coldwater won the JV game over Harper 49-40. Grant Carter led Coldwater with 12 points. He also had five rebounds. Elijah Sloan had 11 points. Zach Coffing added 10 points and 12 rebounds. Aiden Marsden had nine points and five rebounds.
Harper Creek won the freshman game over Coldwater 42-29. Evan Porter led Coldwater with 14 points while Tyson Robey added nine points.
