BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) — Coldwater went 1-2 on the night in a quad meet at Parma Western on Wednesday night.
The Cardinals defeated Dansville 36-34 but lost Western 45-27 and Reading 51-23.
Marshall Hoard went undefeated for Coldwater at 135 pounds.
The Cardinals are now 6-6 in dual meets. They will wrestle next at Portage Northern on Saturday starting at 4:00 p.m..
Meanwhile, the Bronson Vikings picked up two more home mat wins on Wednesday night as they defeated Homer 72-10 and Eaton Rapids 43-30. Winning both of the matches for Bronson were Perry Lake (112), Aricin Smith (145), Craig Tappenden (160), J.C. DePaz (171), Jacob Britten (189), Justin Blankenship (215) and Blayn Gibson (285).
Both the Vikings and the Union City Chargers are state-ranked by michigangrappler.com this week. The Vikings are ranked sixth in Division Four while the Chargers are rated ninth.
