COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – There has been a lot of questions recently about the need to wear two masks to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Medical Director Doctor Lauren Vogel from the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency told the Board of Health last Thursday using double masks offers no benefit when the single mask is used correctly.
A gater type mask is acceptable.
Vogel said in his report the N-95 mask is the most efficient mask in use today and should be limited to use by first-line Healthcare Workers. He says like all masks, they must be used correctly to be effective.
