HASTINGS, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater rallied to defeat Hastings in overtime 48-42 in a Interstate 8 Conference girls basketball game on Thursday night in Hastings.
Coldwater was behind 32-28 heading in the final quarter and still trailed 41-37 late in the game before they rallied.
After forcing overtime, Coldwater outscored Hastings 6-0 in the extra period. Jayla Foster and Allison Miller each scored a career high 14 points and each grabbed seven rebounds. Abby Herman added nine points while Mia Rzepka had six points and five assists.
Hastings won both of the underclassmen games. The Saxons took the JV contest 40-28. Emma Porter led Coldwater with 10 points while Cara Miller had eight points and eight rebounds. Hastings also won the freshman game 28-23. Natalee Wilson had 10 points and seven rebounds for the Cardinals while Gabbi Bookmeyer added four points and four rebounds.
