COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Board of Directors approved a construction bid of over $581,000 from Parrish Excavating last Wednesday to replace the water main on Sauk River Drive.
B.P.U. Director Jeff Budd says this will upgrade the current 10 inch water main to a 16 inch main and will also improve the ability to increase water flow to the high pressure side of their water system.
Budd reported to the Board that this will also hopefully delay building a water tower to serve the new prison water connection and industrial growth to the north.
According to Budd, six competitive bids were received for the project and that the Parrish bid was under the engineering estimate.
