BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Marshall rallied from a 28-18 third quarter deficit as they defeated Coldwater’s Lady Cardinals 48-39 in an Interstate 8 girls basketball game on Saturday at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
Coldwater put forth a great effort but Marshall rallied as they got hot from the perimeter.
Coldwater trailed 43-39 with under two minutes left and were forced to foul.
Marshall responded by going 5 of 6 from the foul line line.
Allison Miller led Coldwater with 12 points and five rebounds. Mia Rzepka added 11 points and eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bronson won their fourth straight and improved to 8-3 with a 45-35 home court win over Gull Lake. Meagan Lasky led the Vikings with 13 points while Karissa Gest had nine points. Jenna Salek grabbed eight rebounds. Gest and Lasky both had four steals. Lasky and Jadyn Cary both had three assists.
