BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals stepped outside of the Interstate 8 Conference on Monday night and improved their record to 10-1 as they won at Edwardsburg 64-51.
The Cardinals picked up where they left off in Saturday’s win at Marshall as they dominated the first half. Coldwater led 19-8 after the first quarter and 35-16 at the half.
The Cardinals used a 19-14 third quarter to build their lead to 54-30 after the third quarter. The Eddies outscored Coldwater in the fourth 21-10 to make the final score more respectable.
Nine Cardinals got into the score book led by Brandon Downs with 17 points. Ethan Crabtree had 13 points and seven rebounds while Evan Sloan had eight points.

Coldwater’s JV and varsity home games with Parma Western have been called off due to COVID-19 concerns in the Parma Western program. There will be a freshman game at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
