COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency has announced they have received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine and with additional doses of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines being received, they are scheduling over 4,700 vaccine appointments for this coming week.
This is the highest amount of vaccine the Health Agency has gotten in a week.
The Community Health Agency has also announced that more individuals are invited to schedule their COVID-19 vaccination. All essential workers, those 50 and over and those age 16 and older with a chronic healthcare condition may now register.
All individuals who live and work in the tri-county area will be eligible to be vaccinated starting on April 5.
As of Tuesday morning, there were still online appointment openings for this week’s COVID-19 vaccination clinics at www.bhsj.org
Thanks to the Johnson and Johnson vaccine being available, there will be two Branch County clinics this week.
The Moderna Vaccine will be administered at the Dearth Community Center in Coldwater on Thursday while the Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be distributed Friday at the Quincy High School gymnasium.
Unlike the two dose Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, those who receive the Johnson and Johnson vaccine only need one dose.
