BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – As more COVID-19 vaccine is being made available, Branch County’s positivity percentage rate for new COVID-19 cases has risen to seven percent.
The latest data from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services shows of the 668 tests administered between March 9 and 15, 47 came back positive.
The positivity rate for Branch County was at four-point-two percent during the previous week.
Branch County’s positivity rate has also moved the county into Level B which is the fourth highest level in the state’s metric which covers the risk of catching the virus.
There are 25 counties in Michigan where the positivity rate was at three percent or less. 33 counties are at Level A for rates between three and seven percent while 15 counties including Branch County are at Level B.
11 counties are in the highest three levels with Missaukee and Huron at the highest level of Level E where they had a positivity rate of 20 percent or more.
Michigan’s level of positive COVID-19 tests has gone up to 5-point-5 percent after being at 4-point-2 last week.
