COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A fire that was confined to a bedroom of a residence at 57 Church Street caused about $1,100 worth of damage last Wednesday afternoon.
Coldwater firefighters were dispatched at about 5:45 p.m. with Quincy firefighters being toned out for automatic mutual aid.
No fire was found and the occupant was out of the house.
Firefighters were told the fire was out. After that information was confirmed, Quincy firefighters were cancelled and all remaining apparatus were told to hold at the station.
The only damage was to some blankets and the floor in the bedroom of origin. There was also some smoke damage in the bedroom as well.
It’s not known how the fire go started. No injuries were reported.
Coldwater firefighters used a positive pressure fan to exhaust the remaining smoke before they cleared the scene.
