COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Administrative Assistant Bethany Garman will be leaving county government later this year as she plans to retire on August 1.
A request from County Administrator Bud Norman to begin advertising the position in order to find her replacement was brought forward to next week’s meeting by the Branch County Board of Commissioners during their work session on Thursday.
Norman told Commissioners she has been discussing retirement for awhile so it was no surprise when her decision was made.
He added she had a tremendous amount of institutional knowledge and was a dedicated, committed and hard working employee.
Garman has worked nearly two decades for the county.
