Tigers manager A.J. Hinch has announced Matthew Boyd will get the Opening Day start against the Cleveland Indians on April 1 at Comerica Park. This is the second consecutive season Boyd will take the mound in Detroit’s opener.
So far this spring, the lefty has allowed three runs while striking out three in 13 innings of work.
