Paul W. Sperbeck, 96, of Coldwater, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
A public visitation will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 1-3:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. A private funeral service will follow with Rev. Fr. Dan Hyman from St. Charles Borromeo Church officiating.
Interment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta.
Paul was born March 16, 1925 in Sturgis, MI to John & Della (Kemery) Sperbeck. He served in the US Army during WWII. Paul married Rosemary Perk on June 11, 1946 in Coldwater. She preceded him in death on June 6, 2016.
Mr. Sperbeck drove truck, as an owner/operator and for C & J Drive Way in Lansing for 33 years, retiring in 1985.
Paul was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree. He was formerly a Shriner and belonged to the American Legion. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycling, being a charter member of the Gulf Coast Motorcycle Club in Florida. He loved to travel and bowling was a favorite pastime, winning many state tournaments and finishing as a silver medalist in the Olympics.
Paul is survived by his daughter Judi Sperbeck of Downers Grove, IL, his grandchildren Dawn Morris, Heather Bechtold, Christopher Challender and several great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers Harold, John, Harley, and Clyde Sperbeck and his sister Virginia Miller.
