BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The high school bowling season wraps up this weekend with the M.H.S.A.A. State Finals.
The Coldwater boys bowling team advanced to Friday’s Division Two state finals at Century Bowl in Waterford with a second place finish in the regional tournament last week.
Two Branch County boys will be competing in the individual finals on Saturday. Coldwater’s Chase Rubley advanced to the Division Two state finals with a ninth place finish at the regional tournament. Quincy’s Brandt Neely got to the Division Three finals at Jax 60 Lanes in Jackson by winning a regional title last week.
Bronson qualified for the M.H.S.A.A. Division Four Girls Bowling State Finals at the Super Bowl in Canton by finishing second in their regional tournament. In addition, Bronson’s Idalia Hernandez and Savanna Taylor will be competing in the Individual Finals. Hernandez was fifth in the regionals last week while Taylor was ninth.
Coldwater’s Rilee Cooper-Lewis earned a trip to the Division Two State Individual Girls Finals with a fourth place finish last week at the regionals.
